Lahug Emergency Rescue Team — LERT
The Lahug Emergency Rescue Team (LERT) is a volunteer emergency response group trained and organized to provide immediate assistance during fires, disasters, accidents, and other emergencies.
LERT responds to emergency calls and provides first aid and immediate assistance to victims while coordinating with appropriate authorities and emergency responders.

Mental Health Starts in the Community
Mental health is an essential part of community health.
One of Barangay Lahug's flagship initiatives is the Barangay Behavioral Health Unit (BBHU)—a pioneering community-based program created to bring mental health support closer to residents.
The BBHU provides free mental health services, counseling, psychosocial support, mental health education, and early intervention.
The program helps address concerns involving:
- Bullying
- Family and relationship concerns
- Emotional difficulties
- Behavioral concerns
- Stress and personal challenges
- Other mental health and psychosocial concerns
The BBHU also works with schools, families, community leaders, and partner organizations to promote early identification and appropriate intervention.

The Tabang Pinansiyal Program provides financial assistance to qualified families to help ease the burden of funeral and burial expenses following the loss of a family member.

ABAG TAMBAL Program
Bringing Essential Medicines Closer to Residents
The ABAG TAMBAL Program provides and delivers maintenance medicines directly to the homes of qualified residents who are members of the barangay's Diabetic and Hypertensive Club.
The program helps make essential medication more accessible, particularly to residents who may experience difficulty traveling regularly to obtain their maintenance medicines.
